Making Bioenergy Work
The Industrial and Power Association (IPA) and Semple Fraser present “Making Bioenergy Work”.
Heriot-Watt University
Biomass generation and energy from waste projects are increasingly seen as potentially attractive options for meeting both EU and UK waste and renewable energy targets, and in particular for delivering renewable heat.
With the Renewable Heat Incentive now up and running, the conference will bring together developers, operators, investors and supply chain players in the sector for networking and to hear presentations on perennial sticking points such as consenting, finance, feedstock and fuel supply, waste considerations and heat offtake issues.
Those involved in the sector are invited to submit abstracts for presentations, including, but not limited to the following topics:
- Case studies – including district heating, EfW CHP and gas to grid
- Financing renewable heat, viability and investment
- Feedstock and fuel supply
- Renewable Energy Incentives
- Heat offtake and market integration
- Sustainability
Presentations should last for approximately 20 minutes, addressing the challenges and opportunities for biomass, energy from waste and renewable heat in the UK.
